OK TZ owners, I'm normally pretty good at TZ issues, but I am stumped on this one.
+12V optos are not working.
I have the "Check fuses F115 & F116, J112 and Opto 12V Supply" error on start up.
When I check for errors I have the following: switch 73, 75, 76,81,83 and a "clock broken error" (although I think the clock was broken before and may be unrelated. I'll fix the clock later.)
Physically tested the playfield optos in test menu and confirmed optos don't work.
Checked the fuses F115 & F116 (tested, but changed to new fuses in case), LED on the driver board is on for +12V, metered TP 3 and Ground and I have 12V. Pulled the Big Driver Board, reflowed solder at connectors and at fuses, looked for issues on driver board, but looks good.
Then I got a bit smarter and remember about the +12V 10-Opto Aux board under the playfield. I thought for sure LED light would be off, but the light was on, so +12V power at the opto Aux board. I reseated all these connectors. No change. No sign of smoke or damage on this board either.
I'll check the connection at the CPU board, as that is the only thing I can think of. Is it common on a TZ for a short to get back to the CPU and fry something? What else could I be missing?
Any help is appreciated.
