Missed a step walking out of a wedding at the end of the night. Whiskey may have been involved. Landed with a straight leg and snapped my tibia plateau on both sides. 10 screws and two plates later I will be setting off metal detectors from now on. Haha

Sorry to hear that.... just a fyi: you won't set off detectors as it's most likely titanium...snapped my leg playing hockey 2 years ago (almost to the day). had an 8-inch plate, 10-ish screws, tie-wraps (you name it). flew a few times and never triggered any metal detectors. Luckily they removed all the hardware except one screw (the one that was holding the fibula together) right after pinfest and it feels so much better now... I'm back on the ice!
