Stern still makes $5k Pros... no one else even tries for that price point. So, can't really fault stuff being removed. At least its all LEDs now, even with some color changers.

That looks pretty cool and a nice "borrow" from AFM. Steve likes AFM and discussed it in past interviews -- just look at Spidy. The moving ship will work well in a battle mode. Say what you will about the layout being uninspired, I still think it could be a fun game with the right rules. I'd definitely put money in it if I saw one on location.

Cheers,
Duane

Me, too. Looks like it goes to the back of the cab. I'm wondering if the ball is taken back there and then pops up where
the enterprise is? Maybe the ball shots out that drop hole....

After seeing the pics had to go play my ST:TNG. What a great game. It makes sense to reuse the layout. It's so well done. On the new Star Trek, I think the Warp shot is going to be pretty tough. That ramp looks tight.

Cheers,
Duane

I believe someone spotted in the video that it appears to re-enter on the right ramp (or possibly the right orbit to feed the third flipper?) Wasn't conclusive though.

That would be consistent with ST:TNG. If you hit WARP on ST:TNG, the ball is feed to the right habit trail and the ball is returned to the right flipper.

latest on pinside is that Tanio Klyce is lead programmer on ST. I guess we'll see what he brings to the table.

I'm encouraged that the rules are solid enough that they're actually included on the playfield. Probably has been baking for a while.

I'm predicting that the laser projector will throw a star map on the playfield, that shows the players completed missions and is used for further mission selection.
You read it here first!
