update, changed the batteries and it was fine for a few days then back to factory reset...any thoughts, it was suggested to check pin 28 of u8 for >5 volts when shut off.... what does this pin do?

Turns out that my rechargeable batteries were not putting out the proper voltage and that seemed to fix it...Thanks to all for the help....

Thanks fantasygoat I checked it out and its clean . Measured the voltage and its 8 volts at the connections but my meter is old and may not be accurate but there is voltage getting to the board it seems.Also when I set date and time the dot goes away but still have the resetting problem on the...

My demo man has a free play dot and returns to factory settings on every power up (what a pain). ran through all the test and it says everything is fine....seems to play fine but the reset issue is a pain...I changed the batteries to no avail....any input would be appreciated.

No options but to turn it up, which is not a bad thing at all. For the $ they cost you would think they could put better parts in them. Buzzing coils are an annoyance...oh well gonna live with it till they die...still plays great.

Up the volume,that's pretty much what i do.It helps my game, keeps me it there!

I think I must be computer illiterate....seems that everything wants to get me to order parts through a third party like pinball life or bay area amusements etc...even when I get to his own site passion for pinball and click on the order icon...

Any help on a reliable place to order these parts would be appreciated. I have found several different places on line ,Cliffy's, Ebay etc. Can't seem to get through to the Cliffy's site directly. Do I have to order them from a third party? Cheers.

Anybody have the same issue. When the volume is low (funny I know) but when I,m holding a ball there is a noticeable humm/ buzz coming threw the sound system. Can't notice it if the volume is mid way or higher.Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks Drano, this one was on the bucket list and considering we missed out on T2 earlier , we're happy to get such a nice machine. Oh it has 3 of the 4 boards replaced with new ones so a lot of work and $ went into this pin.
