Comet LED Between Toronto to London

I actually tried several bulbs in my Class of 1812 that all ghosted, Eddie was able to hook me up with ones that worked without ghosting. He knows his stuff and his bulbs are on par with comet.

Who can refurb my pair of sit down racers?

I sent him this thread and unfortunately his response was "there's a reason our arcade has an Outrun 2 sitting in the back for years now" Apparently these machines are not easy to work with. He said there are 2 more in Barrie with busted Outrun 2's. Also said "a lot of the times I end up...

Who can refurb my pair of sit down racers?

I have some experience with arcade games but my ability to troubleshoot is pretty limited. If it needs any board work I'm going to be at a loss. I have a friend who is capable but not sure if he's available. I will send him this thread though just in case.

Who can refurb my pair of sit down racers?

Do you know what is wrong with them? Do they need board work?

Trying to Document Old Arcade Locations

The Wizard's Castle in Erin mills town center changed spots a few times. At one point it was in the large spot across from the clock that used to be a movie theater. This would have been late 90s. by the early 2000s it was right near the entrance beside Tim Horton's. You also missed the...

Iconic Arcade Rasperry Pi Powered MAME

The cabinet looks pretty cheap and at that price I have to imagine the screen and joystick/buttons will be too. For something with a raspberry pi I'd rather just build it myself, but I'm a DIY type person and I know not everyone likes to do that stuff themselves.

    Stern Pinball Alley Sign

It looks great but it seems tailored more towards commercial settings with that price and how heavy duty it is. Would be really cool if it was interactive in some way too, I see that plunger and I want to be able to plunge a ball around it.

    Short Term Trade

Lol I've definitely pumped my play count up by doing that, but these days I try to only do it if my first ball is absolutely horrible, like <1,000,000 points on IMDN.

    Short Term Trade

Obsesssion over number of plays makes no sense to me. The real question is how well maintained the machine is. There are so many other factors too. If you are a noob you might have the same play time in 1000 plays as a veteran gets in 200. People talk about how they can go 45 minutes on games...

    Tilt Toronto

Cabin Fever is definitely the best. The vibe in there is great and because it's so small and focused on pinball everyone who is there is older and serious about playing. Shame about Tilt, I was just going to go there to try out Funhouse. I heard they just got a DDR machine too which I'm sure...

Hardest and easiest pins you’ve ever played.

Iron Maiden is definitely on the harder side but I probably don't have enough experience to say it's the hardest, or one of the hardest. I find it is a drain monster though, so hard to keep it out of the outlanes. Easy ones to me are both of the older machines I've owned, Tee'd Off and Class of...

    Labyrinth Pinball

Who knows? Bowie + Jim Henson puppets = success with women? My GF would have been pretty young when she saw it so I have a feeling she's remembering it fondly through the nostalgia lens.

    Shippsy -When things go wrong.

I'm interested in hearing if this ever got resolved. Any update?

    JJP Elton John

Agreed. I don't think it's a coincidence that Metallica, Maiden, Rush, ACDC and Foo Fighters are the most beloved music pins. The ones that focus on the band and show geriatric concert footage are way less appealing.

    Labyrinth Pinball

Hell yeah, flight of the navigator pin should be next! And I find it interesting how many people have said their wife needs this pin. I've seen multiple people on pinside say the same. I guess this movie was a big hit with the ladies? My GF also likes this movie and I've never seen it.

    Caution on scammer PMs

LOL. It just signs up whatever e-mail address you put in for hundreds of mailing lists. It's supposed to be to stress test e-mail servers and stuff but you know how most people use it ;)

    Caution on scammer PMs

Trying to do my part... let's just say he's going to have to sort through a lot of junk to find his victim's messages.

Where to buy chrome balls (Ninja style)

Like Pinpickle said it does depend on the game. If there is a lot of multiball you'll probably need to change them more, same with if there is a newton ball/block you're likely to damage the balls quicker. Just keep an eye on them and check them every time you clean the machine and you should...

    FOUND Gottlieb A-17876 coil

I need a Gottlieb A-17876 coil but can't find one in Canada. Before I go paying the shipping and duties etc from Marco I thought I'd ask here and see if anyone has one. Thanks. EDIT: Looks like I found a source, don't think I can delete threads.

    Will it fit

It really depends on the machine. Stern and other modern machines can fit in my Forester but a gottlieb system 3 machine will not without taking the head off. I need like 2 more inches of clearance height wise to get it in.
