Who can refurb my pair of sit down racers?

I'm looking to hire someone to refurbish my pair of Sega Outrun2 linked, sit down racers.

Any suggestions out there??

I've been referred to Patrick T. and I've seen his work its outstanding! But unfortunately he is beyond busy and booked up.

Anyone else in Ontario really good at doing these racing games?

Not concerned with the cosmetics...would just like to get them working 100%...and trying to get them done so they can be part of the free play area at the 2nd Annual Central Ontario Arcade & Pinball Fest on June 1st...

Anyone?

Do you know what is wrong with them? Do they need board work?

Hi Corrie...to be honest I don't know...

When I last turned them on one seemed to boot up no problem but the 2nd one was taking a very long time and didn't do much...

Pinball is more my speed...I don't know anything about these...but I'd love to get them going again...

Is fixing them up something that you're able to do?

I would gladly deliver them somewhere if I can get them working again 100%

I have some experience with arcade games but my ability to troubleshoot is pretty limited. If it needs any board work I'm going to be at a loss.

I have a friend who is capable but not sure if he's available. I will send him this thread though just in case.

I sent him this thread and unfortunately his response was "there's a reason our arcade has an Outrun 2 sitting in the back for years now"

Apparently these machines are not easy to work with. He said there are 2 more in Barrie with busted Outrun 2's.

Also said "a lot of the times I end up seeing people going the china route with a bootleg PC board to get cabs alive again". I wouldn't know anything about what is required there though, you'd have to search around and see what info you can find. If it's a bootleg it might be as simple as a board swap.
