Particularly, for JJP’s model of essentially unlimited LEs & CEs, buyers can now take their time with this significant cash outlay.
I mean $20k+ for a LE or $25k for a CE is crazy money.
If not bolted, it’s def caveat emptor…

Wife and I are super fans of the books and movies. No brainer for us. It’s bolted, like Labyrinth.

CE already ordered for us. I sold SW + topper and LT specifically to get the funds for the CE. I expected 25k for the CE and right now my invoice is 25.2k including shipping(and taxes/exchange rate) - I guessed pretty close.

It’ll be a keeper for us, like Labyrinth.

It wasn’t an easy choice actually. Figured it would be harder to sell them if I waited until after the HP release though. Good move on my part to sell them pre-emptively.

Hope we get HP before Portal.

This is a crazy hobby now with the insta-losses.

Oh this purchase is an instant loss lol... I also don't bolt my games tot he floor like ever lol. I put 1000 plays a month on a game and usually get rid of it lol. Im getting better at it though so hopefully with the 96 modes ill never complete it will keep me entertained for a few months. Im also not a huge fan of JJP. ive got to try maybe 3 in person at an arcade in Florida and never quite enjoyed them like a stern. I do think they are beautiful machines so im going to try one out at home and see if that changes my perspective for JJP. I know for myself I get pretty lost in games when playing them in arcades compared to at home.

Anyone complaining about sound needs to watch the featurette. It’s a really good piece and worth the watch.

They made 90 (“ish” from memory) custom songs for the machine that fit the potter theme. Have original tracks from the score.
Overall… the sound is supposed to be a highlight.

They had the raw audio file and were given the rights to every single line in every movie.

If a slot machine chime is in the game when you score a point in quidich (sp) and that’s what you focus on….

Yeah, we must be hearing different sounds I guess lol… IMO, there’s too much pronounced carnival type sounds in most of the gameplay videos.
There may be tons of custom music; but it’s the redundant TS4/Wonka sounds which IMO seem to take away from the songs.
Hope developed code puts more emphasis on those 90+ songs…

Looks fine to me. It moves a lot but only in circles and I would assume it will be built with decent durability. It's really the only big toy in the game.

Still want to hear some everyday players opinions of this game though. Most of the content creators that have played it are hype about everything new. Not very reliable.

If they don't hype it up, they lose access to the new games. They'd hype up the 2015 WWE Wrestlemania machine... talking about how awesome the game is.

I agree - I appreciate the work they do and I have known Ralph in particular for a long time but its become a bit biased. The factory invites and early game access is pure marketing.

I'm in for a Harry Potter AE.

After lots of thought I decided to mix up my Stern lineup. It's in the Stern premium price range and game looks like it shoots great. Have to have faith that the code will make this game awesome. I'm excited.

Nobody has received an actual CE. These are just the display samples (distro games). If dimpling bothers people then this hobby is not the right one for them. It’s normal and evens out over time. It’s only a visual problem for people who buy these things as show pieces instead of playing them.

Chipping and pooling however is NOT normal. That’s the stuff I keep an eye out for.

Chipping at least shouldn't be an issue on the CE's. LE's and below are made by Mirco who is pretty well known for playfield quality problems. People had problems with GnR, TS4, Godfather... on anything but the CE's. I was fortunate on my GnR LE, never had any issues.

All Mirco. Bader was only because of the UV ink on Avatar which is not the case with HP. So yes even the CEs use Mirco playfields.

Oh... that's not good news for anyone buying a $15k USD machine. LOL. Micro sucks.
