What about this one: www.forumrunner.net/ Free for forum to install, $1.99 for mobile user to install. May be a lot easier because it claims to support phpBB and therefore you would not need to change too much and get a mobile version for those that want it.

Donation button exists. We would like to move away from using free phpBB to a more current and modern forum software.

either vBulleting or invisionPower, fun thing about inivisionPower is it has an online chat. I will probably put up a demo of both and we can vote on which one you guys would like.
