This Machine is located in Buffalo, but the owner is coming to Toronto in a couple of weeks and would bring the machine.
He will have to deal with the border and I will not pay him until the machine is in my house.

I assume the funds are in CND as he posted for people in toronto (but will confirm)

I'm not to worried about it being a scam as I am not paying him until it arrives and it only $1200. Not like buying an expensive machine and having it shipped without every seeing it.

What I would like to know is...

Is this machine worth it?
Is there any issues with getting a machine from the US.

Thanks for your input.

I would assume the seller will want some form of small deposit before he loads up the pin and heads north of the border to Canada so there is that risk there. I don't really know what a Firepower II goes for as not many have popped up for sale so maybe some other solid state collectors can chime in shortly. I don't see any issues getting a machine from the US as lots of guys on here have brought games from there.

I wouldnt assume the pricing is CAD. Just because its advertised to Toronto, doesnt mean the seller wont expect USD

He has it listed for $1150usd in his local craigslist posting here:

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/vgm/4856029159.html

If convert our hurting Canadian dollar it is also nowhere near $1250. Right now if you go to xe.com:

1,150.00 USD = 1,425.07 CAD
1 USD = 1.23919 CAD

That exchange is conservative too because it will likely be a bit more and don't forget HST on top of that too which will be another ~$200 or so. So you better ask yourself if you really want this game because it is not only $1200 :)

Plus don't forget all the fun of movement/shipping.
Many a time a pin has worked only to be torn down, moved and set up just to have some sort of hiccup with working correctly.

You should be out regardless. Pinhead got a Firepower 2 for $50 and I know someone else who got one for $500. He tried selling it at $700 and had a hell of a time!
