I love the passive ball stop setup on my RFM that allows you to tip the playfield up without taking the balls out, so I thought I would install them on my ToM and Shadow as well.

Here are the steps for installing a passive ball stop on a WPC machine, and this should fit on all machines from Twilight Zone and up. If you're not sure, check to see if there is a star post next to the exit from the ball trough.

Step 1. Remove lockdown bar and glass and then lift playfield and pull to fully extended poistion.

Step 2. Remove screws holding apron on and remove apron from machine to expose the top of the ball trough.

Step 3. Remove star post and put in your spare parts bin.

Step 4. Remove the two screws and washers closest to the shooter lane to the left of where the star post was. Set ball stop in place and re-install screws and washers.

Step 5. Reinstall apron, glass and lockdown bar and enjoy!

Oh I get it, just a hinged piece of steel that hangs down holding the balls while the PF is vertical. Very nice. A simple solution, making life that much easier.
