Looking to change the displays on a couple of machines....anyone used xPin displays? I was going to try them but wondered if anyone had a negative experience with them.

I'd be interested in this as well. Have a customer that could be looking to replace the displays in his HS vs trying to track down parts to repair his master display PCB.

I will probably order one next week, either a green DMD for the wife's Shrek or maybe a new display for Whirlwind. Will post here when I get it.

The biggest complaint with the X-Pin DMD's is the visible "grid" effect. It's because of the segment squares used to make them, and it's quite noticeable.. that and the price! I'd love to get a blue one for Tron, but at $400 .. yikes!!

It's my understanding that the XPin designer is the same as PinScore but on his own now. I used a Xpin PS and it was nicely put together....if this helps

Same here... although I did just buy two colour DMDs for MM and TAF, so can't really judge their pricing.
The grid-lines would drive me nuts.

Looks like Predator might have similar issues with their DMD (may even be xPin?). Hopefully they resolve it.

Did you notice the grid-lines on your Xmen? Elliot thought he got a defective one but then realized it was normal before he cried wolf.

I came across this comparison pic of xpin displays on a Pinbot in case those who are wondering how they compare to the original.
