Not sure if anyone has tried this - but wondering if I can get a BOM for the Star Wars topper...with a 3D printer and some knowhow, it should be possible to make one from scratch and install the node board and coil board for the interactions. I've been busy printing an R2 for this, node board/coil board should be arriving soon...

Pretty sure you can get good pics of the internals on Pinside. I remember seeing them a few years back.
I did a cursory pinside search and saw some discussion, but couldn't find what I was looking for. I will have to revisit my search !
