Last nights league at Mike D's house was another pinball success with 32 players showing up. Some representation from TCPL as well which was nice to see! TCPL took 3rd, 5th and 8th in the Python Anghelo charity side tournament so they did not disappoint! Mike D took 1st place and Aaron A took 2nd.
LOPL raised a total of $160 for the Python cause! Good job us!
Pics of the evening are posted on the LOPL facebook page here:
Last Saturday' league night was another smashing success! We had 41 players and about 6-8 players pull out last minute so could have been pushing 50 players. We think this may an all time Canadian league record! Thanks Mike H for hosting and opening up his home to a giant crowd. This was our 1st league experience with some outdoor pinball action which was great as it spread out the crowd! All in all a great night was had by all!
Another great turnout last night with 30 players showing up including some new faces yet again! Some from TCPL and TOPL made the trip with one TOPL'er taking 2nd. Congrats to the host Mike Todd for taking 1st. Home field advantage We welcomed Flintstones to the list of machines played in LOPL. The list is growing. Thanks Mike and Leslie for hosting! No summer lull for LOPL. We had 32 players show up for league on August 30th at our brand new hosts place Darrell & Mandy where The Wizard of Oz was introduced into league play for the 1st time as well as Data East Star Wars. Baby Pac Man and Gorgar would have debuted as well if we didn't break them Congrats to Steve who took 1st place (yay me!). Thanks a lot to Darrell and Mandy for hosting and thanks to Sydney for playing photographer!
Thanks everyone for coming by and making it another fun league night. We had 37 players show up and have had new faces pretty much every league night this year.
Things pretty much went without any troubles except for the crane attacking Mike's hand while grabbing Mark's stuck ball in Last Action Hero and thus breaking it and Paul plunging Ray's ball on DM, oh ya and Julie firing Mike's shadow ball after telling her to hit the trigger for mongol points (was too late
So we all got cozy in the one main room. Would be nice to widen and heighten my basement. Then Julie's man Tim could actually stand up down there All in all a great night and much fun was had!
Last night turned up 31 players for the last league night of the regular season. Baby Pac Man and Haunted House joined the LOPL line up. Thanks to Darrell and Mandy for hosting again! It was a good stress test and everything held up really well.

Thanks to all players, hosts and "staff" for a great 2nd LOPL regular season!
The playoff results are in. It was a great event. The new tournament format ran smoothly and everyone got to play lots of pinball.
Top 4 qualifiers played a 3 game set (Theatre of Magic, Addams Family & Circus Voltaire) to determine the champion using a 4-2-1-0 point system. Competition was fierce, with final scoring ending up 8 points for Mike, 7 points for Steve, 6 points for Aaron and happy face for Julie!
Fifth through 8th played the same format on 3 games for the B division final. Paul Dewar is the B division champion.
Overall the LOPL was a smashing success in 2014. We had 81 unique players this season compared with 56 last year. Thanks to all players, hosts, "staff", sponsors (Stern & Jersey Jack pinball) and to everyone who played and contributed to the LOPL. Changes and improvements are coming for 2015 so stay tuned!

I have currently bid on a night shift job 11-7 in Tillsonburg.
Would love to join the London league but I will need to be in and out by 9-930
Let me know if this is do-able.
Sign me up for a meet and greet. Someone with a Deadpool to fill my wife addiction with it.
