Replacing a rom.... but chip is HARD to remove

Got a updated Rom for my TZ... but for the life of me I cant pop out the original... seems WAY to hard to pull out.


I dont have a chip puller (thingy)... had one way back, cant find it

Im sure a wedge type motion would do it from underneath... but have fears of munching something since i cant see if there is anything under the chip.

Any suggestions?

There's nothing under the chip.

If you have one of those really small screwdrivers you can wedge it under and use as a lever. Slowly and from both sides.

Just try not to mash the legs.

Just in case this is your first time, pay attention to the notched end of the chip and install the new one in the same direction
