Data East Batman sound

So I have a data east batman, during attract mode at one point advertises for a Star trek movie coming out . It begins with the star trek theme , followed by the enterprise going across the dmd. When it begins this ad , it goes into a high pitched screech that is simply aweful. It lasts about 5 seconds then ends , the remainder of the "ad" is fine. All other game sounds fine. Only does this during that part of attract mode. Driving me crazy..lol....any ideas ? Thank you !

I had something like that on my DE Simpsons ...got the board repaired and only after "game over" the sound went like you described. Bad connection at CN6 on the mpu

No luck....I guess Ill just shut audio off during attract mode, I believe there is a setting.

You could always try replacing the sound ROMs. If all other sounds work ok then this could just be some file corruption on the EPROM.

I think there are 2 speech, and 1 sound rom, so do you mean all? Or just the sound rom ?
