    Whirlwind lighting issue

I assume those should be for #906 bulbs for flash effect. They are driven by the MPU/solenoid transistor drivers and through A/C select relay, then through power resistors (often burned or desoldered over time). The game manual should have some info Good luck!

Some good input on pinside posted last night: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/royal-flush-matching The AX & BX interlock relays contact adjustments are critical. Also make sure the match option Jones plug is set to enable match. A diagram for the game would help to troubleshoot such...

WTB looking for soundboard for party animal pinball

Replacement DAC AD7533JN chips received at home today. Special Force sounds are working now ! I have another chip available for your Party Animal sound board to see if it has the same issue. We also need to cut/remove one capacitor on the sound board as part of the fix (done on Special Force).

WTB looking for soundboard for party animal pinball

If the sound board appears to boot (6 LED flashes) and no sound even when pressing the self-test button on it, issue might be with U8 chip on it, a DAC AD7533. Googling highlighted a Design issue and correction: http://www.pinrepair.com/6803/6803removecap.pdf I am fixing a Special Force with a...

    Stranger Things Strangeness

Did it ever work correctly initially? If not, wondering if this could be a software setting or bug... Good luck!

Fixed-Bally end of ball not registering.

I would remove all balls in the game and go to switch test, then see if any 'stuck'/shorted switch(es) are reported, then activate each one manually by hand one at a time to see if/which switch row/column has an issue, and compare with the manual/diagram. Then I would focus around the problem...

    Q: Coil Strength

Just curious, what was the fix to your earlier bottom flipper flutter? Re: for your new question, flipper spongy & 'curtseys': - As others indicated, this is often caused by a worn sleeve, or mechanically misaligned - and/or a mushroomed solenoid bottom causing drag inside the sleeve - wrong...

    Garbled display

Is the harness between the MPU (A1J2 ?) to display board (1A4J1) easily removable and this is the one your friend brought over along with his display board and MPU? Often the issue with garbled displays are connector pins in these edge connectors... If this has been checked, I would also...
