Hey now, since installing the Borg Soldier Mod below I have been experiencing major ghosting on the LEDs in the mission lamp matrix (the borg soldier mod ties into the lamp matrix). I am going to substitute these LEDS with PBL No Ghost LEDS, but thought I would test to see if the WPC LED Ghosting ROM patcher would cut out this ghosting issue. I am going to install the LX-7 CPU rom that comes with the Funny Rom package and wanted to ask here if anyone has tested a patched version of this rom? Below is my conversation I had with the creator of the patch, he is indicating it should work, so I asked Stephan from hobbyroms.com to patch it up for me. I will let you know if works in fixing the ghosting issue when I get the rom next week!

Paulo,
I just downloaded sttng_x7.zip from IPDB using the "Special Sound ROMs LX-7" link.

The contents of the file are:
$ unzip -l sttng_x7.zip

The game rom (mpu board) file is "trek_x7.rom"
I ran the patcher on it and it appears to patch OK.

I can't distribute a modified rom but I am attaching the patcher so you can patch it yourself. The file is a .zip file with the .zip extension removed.
Rename it wpclp_1.4.zip and unzip. Then run it from the dos command prompt.

Enjoy,
John.
