I bought one of these upgrade kits from Tom Callahan at the end of 2013. I just finished my TOM restoration this month (14 months later) and had finally put the kit in (thanks Menace!) . Following the instructions, everything was done and installed. When I got into the test menu and test the saw, the machine resets.
I emailed Tom about it and was simply told that the kit is no longer available due to 5v issues. I have asked for more detailed information so I might be able to correct whatever design defect it originally had. I have waited for a response but have not gotten anything back other than a vague sentence or two.
Menace and I think that the 5v on the Test Point is dragging the voltage down enough to trigger the watchdog circuit, causing a reset.
Anyone else had this issue?
