Hey folks,

Well, my LOTR Balrog Laseriffic topper suffered a tiny bit of damage in transport to me. The very short screws that attach the topper to the mounts got pulled out, trashing the threading inside.

So - I find myself needing to MacGyver it. Laseriffic will send me a new base for $30&shipping, but no guarantees that it'll fit.

Any suggestions appreciated!

tooth picks ftw. :)

These are mounted using metal not wood screws. Walt can you maybe take a pic of the topper and we can suggest alternatives?

Yes, an image would be most helpful as I've never seen how these are mounted.
Just fold down the head and snap a pic.

I'm sure I have some manner of hardware here at the shop that can work.

If it's just the way the topper attaches to the mounts, find a smaller screw and bolt it from the back (if that's possible)

I am trying to find pics of the top of a cab head because I think Laseriffic and most of these other guys who make toppers for Stern take advantage of the existing mounts used for the Tournament toppers.

Let us know if you find anything Walt and good luck

Reading Walt's original post, it sounds like the issue is where the topper joins to it's mointing bracket... not the cabinet.
I could be wrong.

iPhone?
If yes just go to select image and you can grab it from your photo gallery.
It'll probably be upside down, but it works.

Ok, I've found hardware that works, and even better, it's black and invisible to the casual eye when looking at the pin.

Only problem is I'm gonna have to put four screws in the top to make this work.

So I'll ask some of you pickier people out there - would that be a deal breaker for you when it came time for me to sell?

This is a pic of the precise topper I have - that exact machine actually.
