As the title says, this will be a project.
The machine powers up but won't start.
I installed a CPR playfield back in the day but had an issue with the rollover buttons. The claws to hold the stars snapped when inserting the stars. I reached out to them about it and got nothing but silence...
I brought this back from a show in the states many moons ago to have as a spare.
Never used, never unwrapped.
$40 seems like a fair price.
Pick-up in the Lawrence-Meadowvale area of Scarborough. Cash or Interac works for me.
Cheers,
Tom
The great downsizing is underway..
First up is a Lyman 1200 Tumbler and an almost full box of crushed nutshells.
I bought this in 2009 and only used it 6-7 times. I plugged it in this morning and it still tumbles. Box and instructions included.
$50 for everything will take it.
Pick-up in the...
From my mis-spent university days in Waterloo, my favourite places to play were in the arcade room in the UW Campus Centre (it may have had a name, I don't remember) and the same Campus Centre had two machines in the pub (we called it the Bomb Shelter, it may have had a real name). There was...
The Finch West Mall at Finch and Weston in North York opened in 1972 and had an arcade. A bit of googling tells me that it was called "Guidion’s Pinball and Billiard Arcade", although I don't recall the billiard part. Pretty sure that the arcade lasted through the 70s, not sure how long it went...
Batch is a brewpub that recently opened in downtown Toronto at Victoria and Richmond. Popped in for my first visit last night and discovered a Williams MM in the downstairs bar.
Didn't get a chance to play it, but my office is right across the street and I expect that I may have a new lunch...
I was put in contact with someone who had a machine in their basement who desperately wants it gone. Initial jubilation (this never happens to me!) turned to dismay when I received the photos and it turned out to be this machine.
I have zero interest in it, but thought I'd throw it out there to...
A Cleveland friend of mine sent me this link. Slash has lent his game for the GNR exhibit.

Well...that has got be the weirdest fix ever, especially considering that these worked for so long with that plug connected.
Did a pinball gremlin sneak in and plug it on me? One of pinball's great mysteries, I guess.
Thanks for the pointer, Sylvain!
Here's hoping the glue holds up until such...
I did some reading this morning. The best advice that I can find is to disconnect the plug on the shaker board.
I'll look into that tonight and report back.
So my display is working again after my issue of a couple of weeks ago. I was seriously overthinking things. Took the ps board out and put the meter on things. I found a bad 1N4004 and a bad fuse (coulda sworn that I checked those weeks ago). Anyway, a quick repair and things are looking good...
I have a blank display on my Tommy. Did the power readings and I'm off at the 68, 98 and 110 readings.
I'm going to start replacing pieces and I'm in good shape except for locally (Toronto) sourcing the 100uf 200v capacitor or the suggested 150uf 250v substitute.
Sayal tells me they have 100uf...
I saw that, and the lack of music I understand. Including music would be sure death; LZ has been hesitant to license music for anything. One commercial and a few movies..
P&P may still have something to say about the images. Their power has diminished since the days of Peter Grant and, more...
