They were white 5mm leds, my dad had a package from a princess auto clear out a few years ago of radioshack items.

Replaced the switch and game is working perfectly again. Thanks for everyone's comments and help, love this community and looking forward to paying it forward.

Just a heads up that tried this tonight with some white leds my dad had and worked perfectly, first attempt fixed one of the two dead lights and second attempt got the other. So it can be done.

So 2 of the white leds on the ring board aren't lighting, seems to be a reasonably common issue, before ordering a new board i thought i would try replacing the leds and see if that fixes it. Anyone done this and any advice on what leds you used and where you bought them. Looks like the are...

I noticed that when the vuk switch works the ball gets shot up and with the right force and works as it should but when switch doesn't work and system goes into ball search mode the vuk uses too much force and ball kicks back down, after testing confirmed switch is no good, going to replace and...

Looks like it was a bad switch, have a new one on the way and will update if that gets it done.
