Phantom Power

Anyone out there looked into how much power I may be wasting by leaving my 3 machines plugged in with the power bar on all the time? (2 dmd, 1SS)
I know the service plugs are active on my SS when switched off.
Wouldn't be suprised if its a few KWH over a year.

zero unless they have the extra canadian isolation transformer, which i always remove.
A service outlet doesn't use any power unless something is plugged into it.

The only power you will be using with them off is the light on your power bar if you have one.

I leave 20 to 40 always plugged in, no extra electricity cost. same a a lamp that isn't turned on,

My SS does have the transformer. I just never bothered to plug it in.
Works fine without it.... So far....
First pin I ever had with one.

The 'fix' around my service plug has a breaker and it will 'bite' if you touch the wrong. Needs a bit more insulation.

So there really is no 'need' to have a fistfull of remote to turn on different areas of the game room. Sure it does look neat.
