Hey all, new to this forum, I have been into pinball for a couple of years now. Like many it is a way to relive my childhood. I currently have 3 pins. Mars trek, kiss, and flash. Had solar city and magic.

Welcome. I'm assuming it's a Bally Kiss you have judging by the rest of your collection. Is it restored? One of the most bad ass looking games of the era. Unfortunately, when it comes to gameplay it's just plain bad.

Welcome.

I've never played a Mars Trek. It looks cool.

Mars trek is actually a pretty fast game..I like it!

I have to agree awesome looking game but the gameplay is notgood at all. I have been a kiss fan fora long time, that's why I got it. I am in the process of restoring it now, bg was very good condition, playfield needs touchup and the cab as well. Can't wait till it is done.

I kind of like KISS. If the machine is dialed in, it can be fast and frustrating. That said, I wouldn't want it as my only pin. It is a bit of a one trick pony.

And what's with that music on that game? I imagine Bally had a machine all lined up and finished. Some sort of Dopey Little Puppy theme. Then Bill Aucoin called Bally and said "The boys want their own pinball machine. Make it happen."

Bally was like "Stop the presses. Dopey Little Puppy is out! Quick, someone draw up a KISS playfield and we will reapaint all the Dopey Puppy machines in the warehouse."

Oddly enough, I just ended up with a Mars Trek last Saturday.

I have some pinball machines just outside the elevator lobby where I work. Someone who works above me heard the guys playing when the elevator door opened. He came in asking about the machines. I was called out to talk to him.

He is selling his house and wanted the machine sold before he moved. He didn't know how much it was worth so I did some research and sent him an average price we can start at - $550. The value of his machine would go up or down from there.

I went to look at the machine. It was ok. Nothing major wrong with it, just filthy, a little cabinet damage, etc. It should clean up well. I offered $600 - he wanted $900. I might have paid $900 if it were beautiful and didn't need work, but it wasn't and it did.

We shook hands, I thanked him for showing it to me, and I left without the machine.

2 hours later I get a call. His wife came home and tore him apart because she wanted that machine gone. I could hear her in the background. She was not happy.

I went back and bought it for $600.

Good deal! Those playfields are almost indestructable, mine has a burn in it (no idea how it got there) and some minor planking. The cabinets are pressed wood, mine needs rreplacing at some point.

There is another person in BC that has a mars trek, he is on pinside. Post a pic, I would love to see it.

This one has a little damage around one of the pop bumpers. Once I clean the dirt out of the cracks you probably won't notice it. The cabinet looks mostly ok. The backbox is not as good, some scuffing around the corners, but isn't falling apart. It should be fine.

Once I get this in the game room, I'll clean it up and snap some pictures.

There is someone selling a Mars Trek on Craigslist near me, but he's asking $1600. Seemed a bit rich.

I saw that one, yeah a little too much for sure.

I put some LED's in mine frosted warm white for GI and backbox, I also matched the colors on the players score reels. I like it.

I will post pictures when I figure out how.
